No, he had 10 years of a good run until the war started going south in 1942/43. He came to power in '33 and spend a decade rebuilding the country, which the Weimar republic had failed to do. Germany became the center of science, industry, and innovation in Europe. So much so that after the war the USA/Russian desperately fought to get all that knowledge back to their own countries.
