111·1 year agoIt was a beat-em-up hack ‘n’ slash that played like an early Devil May Cry game. It was really fun, and included everything that was Deadpool at the time (he was borderline schizo during the comics at this time, and the game included both of the “other voices” in his head as a pseudo-narrator kinda thing).
Honestly a really fun game, I pirated it when it came out and now that it doesn’t exist anywhere except the high seas, I regret not paying for it then. To be fair though, it had little replayability, just the, “once every few years” kind. Still a fun game though.

22·1 year agoBruh, it’s a meme. Use a Britta to filter the piss out of your cornflakes and grow a sense of humor
But you have to agree that a pizza shouldn’t be sitting out for 50 minutes before it leaves the store.
In an ideal world sure, but we live in the real world with real world limitations…
I too, would love to live in an ideal world where ideals override simple facts.
But that isn’t the real world, and frankly, will likely never be true.
So get over yourself and get used to existence, you abominable dirt-head.
No, they don’t. It was done away with for many important reasons, including but not limited to:
-people intentionally giving the wrong address so that it takes over 30min, costing everyone from the driver to management both time and money
-drivers speeding to meet their time quota, and causing wrecks at increased rates
-driver shortages, amplifying the last point
I worked for dominos as recently as last year. The number of people that still try to scam you over the 30min/free rule is asinine, and at least twice a week I had to explain to would-be customers that 30min/free hasn’t existed in at least 30yr for a lot of really good reasons. I’ve even had customers ask if they could tip “extra” to get it sooner. Unless you’re tipping enough that everyone involved (cook, dispatch, driver) gets as much as the order’s base cost (multiplying order price by 4 at minimum), we’re never going to do that.
I’d have thought that too, before meeting him. Even his own family only loves him begrudgingly (though they keep a much more polite face than I could) and conspiracies aside, he’s a waste of society’s time and resources.
Hate me if you think I’m wrong, but if you’ve never met those kinds of people, you have no room to talk. They’re infinitely worse than the internet can make them seem.
I had a coworker before that was a flat-earther (lizardmen believer and all that shit), and one day he came into work saying “y’all ever wonder if the moon makes its own light??” during a dinner rush and the only thing that kept me from punching his lights out was the fact that it was dinner rush, or I would have pulled him by the collar of his shirt and beat him to near death.
I didn’t think people like that really existed until him, and even then I didn’t want to accept it.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is anyone else highly concerned with the SCOTUS ruling that the POTUS is immune from criminal liability?
02·1 year agoLol imagine being so late to the discussion that it’s already over, and your thoughts are little more than hindsight, that your newborn child is an unforseen consequence
Edit; incumbent idiots don’t make the rest of us responsible for their mistakes. They fucking on they own, fucking simpasses.

131·1 year agoEven if it’s not an MMO, player count can be a very strong indicator of enjoyment/income at a given time. Even if it’s a single player game, player count can show how popular a game is on whole. If a 5yo game still has engagement numbers above newly released games, it’s strongly correlated with studio income/gamer trends.
They can base future decisions on what they did correctly/incorrectly, and develop their next game/dlc/etc with those lessons learned.
Release a game that has nobody playing after a month? Crapbasket. Release a game that has well into a million players despite the age? Fucking masterpiece.
I mean, with those options it’s only a 50/50 chance of doing it wrong, and if you do it wrong you know what to try next.
Satisfactory. It’s been in early access for a few years now, 2019 I think? At the beginning of this year (2024) they announced the next update would be the 1.0 release. I’ve been playing it on/off for years, especially recently with all the strides they’ve made in development.
The game is like Factorio, but presented as an FPS. You get dropped onto a planet in a pod straight out of Halo: ODST by a space-future megacorp called Ficsit, with the goal of harvesting the planet’s resources for Ficsit off-planet divisions.
I have almost 1500hrs in Satisfactory since I got it, there’s no shortage of gameplay. Coffee Stain (devs) have been posting videos regularly, updating the community on new/discontinued features, revamped recipes and production rates, and even just being silly as much as being helpful, to the point where Coffee Stain is my go-to example of good devteam-community interaction.
Oh, and it also has a really good modding community, so if there’s anything that’s not in game, that you want in game, it’s probably already been made by one or two modders.
To add to your statement: a few years ago, Henry Cavill went to Times Square in NYC wearing a shirt with the Superman S, and just hung out around signs for Man of Steel, and pretty much nobody recognized him (or if they did, they didn’t let it be known).
Must be because I’m on Voyager then. I can’t find a way to access mod logs through the app.
And now I’ve been shadowbanned. I can’t vote on topics there anymore. I know which user it is too, since there’s only 2 mods and one hasn’t done anything in 3yrs. Hint: it’s OP of the post. Is there a way to report unfavorably run communities to the .ml server owners?
Now they’ve removed my comment that was calling them out, and I didn’t even get a message on why (like I don’t anyway know the answer is ‘mod abuse’).
https://lemmy.ml/post/15817802
Yeah my post there got removed and in my inbox it was cited as ‘Spam,’ even though I was commenting on how that post had (as I said previously) most of the comments removed by moderator(s).
Tbh .ml is feeling less and less hospitable every time I interact with the instance, which sucks cause when reddit fell, .ml was my go-to. I don’t even want to use my .ml account anymore on principle.

New Edit: they removed my comment calling them out and I didn’t even get a message saying why (as if I don’t already know). I’ve also updated the link to go to the main thread, since my comments there get deleted by whatever fascist mod is doing it.

Idk if it’s actually a lemmy.ml thing or what, but coming from lemmy.world, every time I see a post from .ml, like half of the comments have been deleted by moderator(s). In general, .ml seems to have really heavy handed censorship and it gives me a really bad perception of .ml overall.
Really good game if you’re into modern Civilization games. It’s like if you crossed Civ 5 with Dungeons and Dragons.

Wow, you don’t read much news I’m guessing. Any and all news publications love to use it as a ‘catch-all’ term for, “he showed them what for!”
It’s a bogus word describing action that the news can’t otherwise report, because calling it ‘verbal slaughter’ triggers people.
If modern journalism had any integrity left, they’d call Trump what he is: a wannabe Hitlerian dictator.
Any publication that tries to curb that, is likely in bed with the money piles the network was given by the accused.
There’s not a single goddamn person on the planet that doesn’t have some sort of bias, that’s journalism 101.
